One property, five functions, and a family who did not want to walk into the same room twice.

The estate is red brick and colonnade, which is generous but repetitive. We treated each function as a change of material rather than a change of venue: coral fringe and marigold on the stair for the mehndi, a green-and-white floral archway for the ceremony, hanging brass and gold tassel over the lounge at night.

The ceremony

A garden archway built as a full walkthrough rather than a backdrop, so the family photographs happen inside the flowers instead of in front of them. Low planting either side kept the sightline to the couple clear from the back row.

The baraat

Horse, band, and a colonnade that funnels sound beautifully. We kept the route short and the pauses long.

The send-off

A white vintage car, sparklers down the drive, and nothing else. It is the last thing anybody sees, so it is worth the line item.
